I was born in 1958 in Giresun province, and graduated from
Istanbul University, Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medical Sciences in 1982.
I am an ophthalmologist, also a member of Turkish Parliament
(Former MP). At the same time a member of Turkish Ophthalmology Association
and a member of Inter-Parliamentary Union as well.
I served in emergency clinics at several hospitals.
I studied in ophthalmic clinics for both Cumhuriyet University
and Harran University. Additionally I took post as a chief doctor and
administrator of Research Hospital in Faculty of Medical Sciences in Harran
University.
As a lecturer (Assist. Prof. Dr.) in the University, I have
been interested in Neuro-Ophthalmology, in Visual Optics, and in Examination
and Treatment of Refraction Defects. Especially The Negative Effects Of
Vehicle Headlamps On Eyes During The Night Trips has been one of the main
subjects of my personal studies.
